Welcome to APL. We are committed to caring for sick, injured, abused and abandoned dogs and cats ... and finding the best possible permanent homes for them. There are several different links on different pages which will aid you in learning more about our awesome adoptable animals ... as well as our shelter, volunteer opportunities, humane investigations, community programs and events ... check out all of our pages, and come back often! Scroll down for current APL news, needs and activities.

APL Dog of the Week

Aaron is about to celebrate his first birthday, and he's still very puppy-like. He hasn't had a lot of training, but he's certainly willing to learn. He loves toys, and he'd be a great dog for someone who is fairly active, perhaps someone who goes running. He loves to play outside, and he can make the most effective "sad puppy" face of anyone at APL. Not to mention, he's quite handsome!

APL Cat of the Week

My name is Anastasia, a cat with true beauty and charm. It might take me a minute to warm up to you … after all, a girl can't be too cautious about strange callers. However, before the conclusion of our short visit, I'll have you eating out of my paw. I love prancing about and putting on a show for my many adoring fans. I would describe my personality as quite fetching.
