APL Dog of the Week

Hi, I'm Lottie, and I'm a VERY lucky dog. An APL volunteer bailed me out of a place called a dog pound on my very last day. I'm about a year old and full of fun, energy and love. I hear all the humans say that I'm absolutely gorgeous, too. I look like I could have some Collie in me, maybe some Terrier, maybe even some Lab or Golden Retriever ... see, I can be what ever YOU want me to be! Personally, all I want to be is ADOPTED. Please come to APL to meet me.

APL Cat of the Week

Have lap, will snuggle. The biggest kitty cuddle-bug ever … that’s me, Daisy. As far as I’m concerned, laps were made for one thing only … for me to sit in while we share love. A gloriously fluffy, black and white feline, I do enjoy being brushed and fussed over. I bond well with adults and children. I'm a marvelous listener, wanting to hear all about you, your day, your feelings, your dreams and your secrets. I never interrupt, and I listen with my whole heart. Sharing a home with other cats is okay with me, as long as I get some of your attention. I am a snuggly package, ready for delivery to my forever home.

One of many APL success stories

When APL first met Sadie, she had lost huge patches of hair and was diagnosed with two different types of mange ... one of which was contagious. Luckily, a caring man without other pets came forward and offered to foster Sadie. He recently brought her to APL for a vet check-up, and needless to say, she doesn't look like the same dog. Sadie is one of the lucky ones ... there are so many more who need help. (For additional BEFORE and AFTER photos, go to our Humane Investigations page.)
