Kevin J. Hyatt Medical Fund

Help those animals most at risk

The Kevin J. Hyatt Medical Fund is a special account used to cover the costs of life-saving veterinary treatment for cats and dogs rescued by APL.  In addition to funding the intensive care and extensive surgery of animals, the Kevin J. Hyatt Medical Fund also covers the expense of spaying and neutering pit bull terriers, which account for about one-third of the intake at Sangamon County Animal Control and a disproportionate one-half of the facility's euthanasia.

Those wishing to help cats and dogs in most desperate need of intervention are encouraged to donate to this special fund.

The Kevin J. Hyatt Medical Fund honors the legacy of long-time animal advocate Kevin Hyatt (1959–2015), who served as APL’s board president from 2005 until his death.
