How You Can Help

APL is a private, not-for-profit organization with a small paid staff. We have a constant need for volunteers to assist in caring for our animals, and to keep our community programs and events operating efficiently. From walking our dogs three times a day to serving food at our annual Chili Supper; to clipping nails and cleaning cats' ears to selling candy and holiday greenery; to answering phones to taking our animals to visit nursing home residents; the volunteer opportunities at APL are endless and constantly expanding. APL is open to volunteers every day of the year from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For an overview of volunteer opportunities, join us for a New Volunteer Orientation. Sign up for a one on one or over the phone orientation here!
